Evil suspicion involves having negative thoughts about others' intentions, actions, or character without solid proof.

- Always assuming the worst in people's actions
- Interpreting neutral behaviors negatively
- Spreading unverified negative information about others
- Feeling suspicious without valid reasons
- Difficulty trusting others or giving them the benefit of the doubt
Islamic Perspective
Allah says: "O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion, indeed some suspicions are sins." (Al-Hujurat 49:12)
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the most false of speech." (Bukhari)
Treatment
- Think well of others: Give people the benefit of the doubt
- Verify before judging: Seek evidence before forming opinions
- Focus on your own faults: Examine your own shortcomings instead
- Make excuses for others: Find possible good reasons for their actions
- Seek forgiveness: Ask Allah to purify your thoughts
- Practice positive thinking: Train your mind to assume good intentions
