Islamic Perspective
The Prophet ﷺ said: "The strong person is not the one who can overpower others, but the strong person is the one who controls himself when he is angry." (Bukhari)
Allah says: "But whoever forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is with Allah." (Ash-Shura 42:40)
Treatment
- Seek refuge in Allah: Say "A'udhu billahi min ash-shaytani'r-rajim"
- Change position: If standing, sit; if sitting, lie down
- Perform ablution: Cool down with water
- Remember Allah: Engage in dhikr to calm the heart
- Practice patience: Develop self-control through regular practice
- Seek forgiveness: Apologize quickly after losing temper
