FAQ
Sunan Allah are the unchanging divine laws governing how Allah deals with nations throughout history. The Quran states "You will never find any change in the way of Allah" (48:23), meaning these patterns repeat across all eras.
Islam provides a structured framework: seek guidance from the Quran and Sunnah, use intellect, consult trusted people (shura), pray Salat al-Istikhara, and then place trust in Allah (tawakkul).
Istikhara is a two-rakah voluntary prayer followed by a specific dua asking Allah for guidance. It is prayed when choosing between two permissible options — not for obligatory or forbidden matters.
Shura is the Islamic principle of consulting others before making important decisions. Allah commands it in the Quran (42:38) and the Prophet ﷺ regularly consulted his companions.
Thus spoke those before them in the same manner; their hearts resemble one another. We have indeed clarified the signs for a people who possess certainty.
Al-Baqarah 2:118
