كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِب...
Envy is resenting others for the blessings Allah has bestowed upon them and wishing for those blessings to be removed
from them.
Hasad is the feeling of resentment when seeing others blessed with good things, accompanied by a desire for those
blessings to be taken away from them.
Allah says: "And from the evil of an envier when he envies." (Al-Falaq 113:5)
The Prophet ﷺ warned: "Beware of envy, for envy devours good deeds just as fire devours wood." (Abu Dawud)
Rejecting truth and looking down on people.
Resenting others for the blessings Allah gave them.
Seeking people’s eyes instead of Allah’s pleasure.
A heart distracted from Allah and the Hereafter.
Being impressed with oneself and one’s deeds.
Showing Islam outwardly while concealing disbelief or corruption.
Clinging to worldly pleasures at the cost of the Hereafter.
Letting lust and desire rule the heart.
Failing to act courageously when faith and justice are at stake.
Neglecting religious duties and worldly responsibilities.
Withholding wealth and refusing generosity.
Losing control of temper and harming others.
A heart untouched by Qur’an, dhikr, or compassion.
Seeking status and reputation over Allah’s pleasure.
Excessive craving for what others possess.
Always assuming the worst of others.
