Minor signs include the spread of ignorance, increase in earthquakes, time passing quickly, prevalence of lying, loss of trust (amanah), and competition in building tall structures. Many of these have already appeared or are currently unfolding.

The major signs include the appearance of the Dajjal, the descent of Isa (AS), the emergence of Gog and Magog, the Mahdi, three major landslides, the smoke (Dukhan), the rising of the sun from the west, the Beast (Dabbah), and a fire that gathers people.

According to mainstream scholarly opinion, none of the ten major signs have occurred yet. These are expected to unfold in rapid succession once the first one appears. However, many minor signs have already been fulfilled.
