FAQ
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said the lifespan of his ummah is between 60 and 70 years, and few pass beyond that (Tirmidhi). This hadith is a reminder that most of us have a finite and relatively short window to earn our akhirah.
Allah swears by time in Surah Al-Asr, indicating its immense value. The Prophet said two blessings many people are deceived about: health and free time (Bukhari). Islam teaches that every moment is an opportunity for worship, good deeds, or beneficial knowledge.
Focus on the five before five: your youth before old age, health before sickness, wealth before poverty, free time before busyness, and life before death. Prioritize obligatory worship, continuous learning, serving others, and leaving a legacy of ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah).
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Take advantage of five before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your wealth before your poverty, your free time before your busyness, and your life before your death" (narrated by al-Hakim, authenticated by al-Albani).
