**The Seven Obligations:** **1. Ihram from the Designated Miqat:** - Must enter ihram before passing the miqat **2. Standing at Arafah Until Night:** - For those who arrived during the day - The Prophet ﷺ stayed until sunset - **Hadith:** "Take your rites from me" **3. Staying at Muzdalifah:** - The night of the 10th (Eid night) - Until at least midnight, if arrived before it - As the Prophet ﷺ did **4. Staying at Mina:** - The nights of the Days of Tashriq (11th, 12th, 13th) **5. Stoning the Jamarat:** - In proper sequence **6. Shaving or Shortening Hair:** - **Quran:** "With shaved heads and shortened hair" [48:27] - The Prophet ﷺ did it and commanded it **7. Farewell Tawaf (Tawaf al-Wada'):** - For those other than menstruating women and those in postpartum bleeding - **Hadith of Ibn Abbas:** "The people were commanded to make the last of their acts at the House, except it was lightened for the menstruating woman" [Bukhari & Muslim] **If One Misses an Obligation:** - Intentionally or forgetfully: compensated with blood (sacrifice) - Hajj remains valid - **Narration of Ibn Abbas:** "Whoever forgets something from his rites or leaves it, let him shed blood" [Daraqutni, Bayhaqi - authentic from Ibn Abbas]
