Impure substances and how to purify them
**Definition:** Every filthy substance that Islamic law commands us to avoid. **Two Types:** 1. **Physical (Ayniyyah)** - inherently impure, cannot be purified (e.g., feces, blood) 2. **Ritual (Hukmiyyah)** - state requiring purification (minor/major impurity) **Three Categories by Severity:** - **Severe** - dog and what comes from it - **Light** - urine of infant boy not yet eating food - **Medium** - all other impurities
