Virtues & Wisdom

**Status:** - Jihad is the peak (dhirwah) of Islam's hump - The Prophet ﷺ called it this, meaning it is the highest part - Through it, Islam rises, becomes elevated, and becomes manifest **Virtues:** - Allah favored the mujahideen with their wealth and selves - He promised them Paradise - Many verses and hadiths speak of the merits of jihad and the mujahideen **Wisdom Behind Its Legislation:** **1. To Free People from Servitude to Creation:** - Bring them out of worship of idols and tyrants to worship of Allah alone - **Quran:** "And fight them until there is no fitnah and religion is entirely for Allah" [8:39] **2. To Remove Injustice and Return Rights:** - **Quran:** "Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory" [22:39] **3. To Humiliate the Disbelievers:** - Take revenge on them for their oppression - **Quran:** "Fight them; Allah will punish them by your hands, disgrace them, give you victory over them, and heal the breasts of a believing people" [9:14]
