Conditions

**Three Conditions:** **1. Legal Capacity:** Both lender and borrower must be legally capable of charitable giving, and the lent item must be owned by the lender. **2. Permissible Benefit:** The lent item must have permissible benefit. Lending for singing, etc., is not valid. Nor is borrowing a vessel of gold or silver to eat or drink from. **3. Surviving Substance:** The lent item must remain after use. If it is something that is consumed like food, lending is not valid.
