If I were to order anyone to prostrate to another, I would order women to prostrate to their husbands
Five rights upon the wife
The husband's right over his wife is greater than her right over him. **Evidence:** - Allah says: "And due to the wives is similar to what is expected of them, according to what is reasonable. But the men have a degree over them" [Al-Baqarah: 228] - The Prophet ﷺ said: "If I were to order anyone to prostrate to another, I would order women to prostrate to their husbands. A woman does not fulfill all of Allah's rights upon her until she fulfills all of her husband's rights upon her" [Ibn Majah, Bayhaqi - sahih] --- **1. Keeping His Secrets:** Not revealing them to anyone. - **Evidence:** Allah says: "So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard" [An-Nisa: 34] **2. Obeying Him in Permissible Matters:** - **Evidence:** Allah says: "Men are in charge of women" [An-Nisa: 34] **3. Being Available When He Calls Her:** Unless there is a legitimate excuse. - **Evidence:** The Prophet ﷺ said: "If a man calls his wife to his bed and she refuses to come, and he spends the night angry with her, the angels curse her until morning" [Bukhari & Muslim] **4. Protecting His Home, Wealth, and Children:** And raising them properly. - **Evidence:** The Prophet ﷺ said: "Each of you is a shepherd and each is responsible for his flock... The woman is a shepherd in her husband's home and is responsible for her flock" [Bukhari & Muslim] - He ﷺ said: "And you have over them that they should not allow anyone you dislike to sit on your bedding" [Muslim] **5. Good Treatment and Avoiding Harm:** Treating him with good character and keeping harm away from him. - **Evidence:** The Prophet ﷺ said: "No woman harms her husband in this world except that his wife from among the Houris of Paradise says: 'Do not harm him, may Allah destroy you! He is only a guest with you who is about to leave you for us'" [Ahmad, Ibn Majah - sahih] - "Dakhil" means guest and lodger.
