What is allowed during i'tikaf
**Leaving for Necessities:** - Eating and drinking (if no one to bring it) - Answering the call of nature - Making wudu from minor impurity - Taking ghusl from janabah **Conversation:** - Permissible to talk with people about beneficial matters - Asking about their conditions - **However:** Idle talk contradicts the purpose of i'tikaf **Visits:** - Permissible for family and relatives to visit - Permissible to converse for a while - Permissible to leave the place to see them off - **Hadith of Safiyyah:** "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in i'tikaf. I came to him at night and spoke with him. Then I got up to leave, and he got up with me to see me off..." [Bukhari & Muslim] **Other Permissible Acts:** - Eating, drinking, and sleeping in the mosque - While maintaining cleanliness and care for the mosque
