Spending on Parents

**Spending on Parents (Ancestors):** It is obligatory for children to provide for their parents. **Evidence from the Quran:** - Allah says: "And accompany them in this world with kindness" [Luqman: 15] - Allah says: "And to parents, good treatment" [Al-Isra: 23] Among good treatment is spending on them - indeed, this is among the greatest forms of good treatment to parents. **Evidence from the Sunnah:** - Aisha رضي الله عنها reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed the best of what a man eats is from his earnings, and his child is from his earnings" [Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, Nasa'i, Ibn Majah - authenticated by Al-Albani]. - Amr ibn al-'As رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: "You and your wealth belong to your father. Indeed your children are among the best of your earnings, so eat from the earnings of your children" [Abu Dawud - authenticated by Al-Albani].
