Five conditions for prize money
**Five Conditions for Taking Prizes:** **1. Specification of Contestants:** The archers in archery or the mounts in racing must be specified by sight. **2. Same Category:** The mounts in racing or the bows in archery must be of the same type. Racing is not valid between an Arabian horse and a mixed breed, nor between an Arabic bow and a Persian bow. **3. Known Distance:** The distance or goal must be defined - either by sight or by measurement. **4. Known and Permissible Prize:** The prize must be known and permissible - because it is money in a contract, so knowledge of it and its permissibility is required as in other contracts. **5. Prize from Third Party:** The prize must be from other than the contestants - to avoid resemblance to gambling. If it is from them or from one of them, the race is not valid.
