Wisdom of Marriage

Allah, glorified and exalted, has legislated marriage for lofty wisdoms that can be summarized as follows: **1. Protecting Chastity:** Allah created this human being and implanted in him the sexual instinct. He legislated marriage to satisfy this desire and prevent its misuse. **2. Tranquility and Comfort:** Achieving peace and intimacy between the spouses, and attaining comfort and stability. - **Evidence:** Allah says: "And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy" [Ar-Rum: 21] **3. Preserving Lineage:** Protecting lineages and strengthening family and blood ties with one another. **4. Continuation of Humanity:** Perpetuating the human race and increasing the number of Muslims, to vex the disbelievers and spread the religion of Allah. **5. Protecting Morals:** Preserving morals from declining into the abyss of fornication and suspicious relationships.
