Sexual Intercourse

**Ruling:** - Sexual intercourse during fasting hours invalidates the fast - Requires: **Repentance + Makeup + Kaffarah (expiation)** **The Kaffarah (in order):** 1. Free a slave 2. If unable: Fast 2 consecutive months 3. If unable: Feed 60 poor people **Evidence:** - **Hadith:** A man came to the Prophet ﷺ saying "I am destroyed!" He asked what happened. The man said: "I had intercourse with my wife while fasting." The Prophet ﷺ asked: "Can you free a slave?" He said no. "Can you fast two consecutive months?" No. "Can you feed 60 poor people?" No. Then a basket of dates came, and the Prophet ﷺ told him to give it in charity...
