**Ruling:** Disliked (some say prohibited) **Definition:** - Three days after Eid al-Adha: 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul Hijjah **Evidence:** - **Hadith:** "The days of Tashriq are days of eating, drinking, and remembering Allah" [Muslim] - **Hadith:** "The Day of Arafah, the Day of Sacrifice, and the Days of Tashriq are our Eid, the people of Islam, and they are days of eating and drinking" [Tirmidhi - hasan sahih] **Exception:** - Permitted for the Mutamatti' and Qarin pilgrims who cannot afford the sacrifice (hady) - **Hadith of Aisha and Ibn Umar:** "It was not permitted to fast the days of Tashriq except for those who could not find the sacrifice" [Bukhari]
