[Bukhari & Muslim] **Hadith:** "The five prayers, Friday to Friday, Ramadan to Ramadan are expiation for what is between them, if major sins are avoided." [Muslim] --- **Wisdom of Fasting:** **1. Purifies the soul:** - Cleanses from bad mixtures and vile traits - Narrows paths of Shaytan in the body **2. Renounces worldly desires:** - Trains in abstaining from pleasures - Inclines toward the Hereafter **3. Creates compassion:** - Fasting person tastes hunger and thirst - Develops empathy for the poor and needy
