Whoever rescinds a Muslim's sale, Allah will pardon his slip
Cancelling the sale by mutual agreement
**Definition:** Lifting the contract that occurred between the two parties and annulling it by their mutual consent. **Causes:** - One party regrets the contract - The buyer realizes he doesn't need the item - The buyer cannot pay the price **Effect:** Each party returns to what they had without increase or decrease. **Ruling:** Iqalah is legislated, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ encouraged it. **Evidence:** - **Hadith:** The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever rescinds a Muslim's sale, Allah will pardon his slip on the Day of Resurrection" [Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, Ibn Hibban - sahih]
