What one intending to sacrifice must avoid
**Ruling:** When the ten days of Dhul Hijjah begin, it is **forbidden** for the one intending to sacrifice to take anything from their hair or nails until they sacrifice. **Evidence:** - **Hadith of Umm Salamah رضي الله عنها (marfu'):** "When the ten days enter and one of you has a sacrifice he wants to offer, let him not take anything from his hair or nails" [Muslim] - In another narration: "Let him not touch any of his hair or skin" **Note:** - This applies to the one offering the sacrifice, not his family - If he takes something forgetfully or out of ignorance, there is no sin - The sacrifice is still valid if he cuts hair/nails
