Distribution of Meat

**Sunnah:** - Eat from it - Gift to relatives, neighbors, and friends - Give charity to the poor **Evidence:** - **Quran:** "So eat of them and feed the miserable poor" [22:28] **Recommended Division (Into Thirds):** 1. **One third** for his household 2. **One third** to feed poor neighbors 3. **One third** in charity **Evidence:** - **Hadith of Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما** describing the Prophet's sacrifice: "He would feed his household one third, feed the poor of his neighbors one third, and give one third in charity to those who ask" [reported by Abu Musa] **Storing Meat:** - Permitted to store meat beyond three days - **Hadith of Buraydah رضي الله عنه:** The Prophet ﷺ said: "I had forbidden you from storing the meat of sacrifices beyond three days. Now keep what you wish" [Muslim]
