Conditions and who it's due upon
**Due Upon:** - Every Muslim: male/female, young/old, free/slave - Pay for yourself and all dependents (wife, children, relatives you support) - Master pays for his servants **Recommended:** Pay for unborn child (after 4 months/soul breathed in) - as Companions did. **Conditions:** 1. **Islam** - not due on disbelievers 2. **Having surplus** beyond food for oneself and dependents on Eid day and night **Note:** Even the poor who receive Zakat should pay Zakat al-Fitr if they have surplus food.
