Wisdom of Zakat

**1. Purifies and grows wealth:** - Removes harm and calamities - Brings blessing and protection - Prevents corruption and decay **2. Purifies the giver:** - Cleanses from miserliness and greed - Removes sins and mistakes - Trains in generosity and spending for Allah **3. Supports the needy:** - Provides for the poor - Meets needs of the destitute and struggling - Relieves the deprived **4. Creates social solidarity:** - Builds love and compassion between rich and poor - Removes envy and resentment from hearts - Establishes security and harmony in society **5. Shows gratitude to Allah:** - Thanks Allah for the blessing of wealth - Obeys Allah by fulfilling His command - Demonstrates submission to divine legislation **6. Proves sincerity of faith:** - Beloved wealth is only given for something more beloved - Called "sadaqah" because it shows truthfulness (sidq) in seeking Allah's pleasure **7. Brings divine reward:** - Cause of Allah's pleasure - Brings down blessings - Expiates sins
