The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Allah does not accept prayer without purification'
9 prerequisites that must be met for prayer to be valid
**9 Conditions for Valid Prayer:** 1. **Islam** - invalid from a disbeliever 2. **Sanity** - invalid from insane person 3. **Puberty** - not obligatory on children (but commanded at 7, disciplined at 10) 4. **Purification** from both hadaths (minor & major) when able 5. **Entry of prayer time** - prayer invalid before its time 6. **Covering awrah** with non-transparent clothing - Men: navel to knee - Women: entire body except face and hands 7. **Avoiding impurity** on body, clothes, and place 8. **Facing the Qiblah** when able 9. **Intention** - in the heart, not verbalized
