**8 Valid Excuses:** 1. **Illness** that makes attending difficult 2. **Needing toilet** or food is ready 3. **Fear** for self, family, or wealth 4. **Severe weather** - rain, mud, cold wind at night 5. **Imam prolongs excessively** causing hardship 6. **Fear of missing travel companions** 7. **Attending a dying relative** 8. **Being chased by a creditor** with nothing to pay
