Poor & Needy

**1. The Poor (Fuqara'):** - Has nothing or less than half of what they need - Cannot meet basic needs: food, drink, clothing, shelter - Give them enough for a full year **2. The Needy (Masakin):** - Has half or more of what they need, but not enough - Example: needs 200, has 100-199 - Give them enough to complete their year's needs **Difference:** The poor are worse off than the needy. Both receive Zakat to cover their shortfall.
