[Bukhari & Muslim] - **Hadith of Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما:** "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of fruits until their ripening appears; he forbade both the seller and the buyer" [Bukhari & Muslim] **Signs of Ripening:** | Fruit | Sign of Ripeness | |-------|------------------| | Dates | Reddening or yellowing | | Grapes | Blackening and appearance of sweetness | | Grains | Drying and hardening | | Other fruits | Similar appropriate signs |
