Shortening and combining prayers while traveling
**Two Main Concessions:** 1. Shortening (Qasr) - four rak'ah prayers to two 2. Combining (Jam') - joining two prayers at one time **Legitimacy:** - Quran: "No blame to shorten prayer if traveling" [4:101] - Sunnah: Prophet ﷺ always shortened in travel - Consensus: Known by necessity **Recommended:** To take this concession - Ibn Umar: "He ﷺ never prayed more than two in travel until Allah took him"
