Allah has forbidden the sale of wine, dead animals, pigs, and idols
Item must be lawfully beneficial
**Condition:** The item sold must be something permissible to benefit from without necessity, such as: - Food and drink - Clothing - Riding animals - Real estate - And similar things **Prohibited Sales:** It is not valid to sell what is forbidden to benefit from: - Wine - Pork - Dead animals (not slaughtered properly) - Musical instruments **Evidence:** - **Hadith of Jabir رضي الله عنه:** The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, Allah has forbidden the sale of wine, dead animals, pigs, and idols" [Bukhari & Muslim] - **Hadith of Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما:** The Prophet ﷺ said: "When Allah forbids a people from eating something, He forbids its price" [Ahmad, Abu Dawud - sahih] **Dogs:** It is not permissible to sell dogs. - **Hadith of Abu Mas'ud رضي الله عنه:** "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the price of dogs..." [Bukhari & Muslim]
