The Prophet ﷺ said: 'No prayer after Fajr until sunrise, and no prayer after Asr until sunset'
5 times when voluntary prayer is not allowed
**5 Prohibited Times:** 1. **After Fajr prayer** until sunrise 2. **At sunrise** until it rises one spear length (~15 mins) 3. **When sun is at zenith** until it begins to decline 4. **After Asr prayer** until sunset begins 5. **During sunset** until it fully sets **Wisdom:** Disbelievers worship the sun at rising/setting times. **Exceptions Allowed:** - Tawaf prayer - Making up Fajr/Dhuhr sunnah - Prayers with a reason (janazah, tahiyyat al-masjid, kusuf) - Making up missed obligatory prayers
