The Prophet ﷺ said: 'O people of the Quran, pray witr, for Allah is Witr and loves witr'
An emphasized sunnah prayed between Isha and Fajr
**Ruling:** Emphasized sunnah (not obligatory) **Time:** Between Isha and Fajr (by consensus) - Ends when Fajr begins - No witr after Fajr enters **Evidence:** "Night prayer is two by two. When you fear dawn, pray one rak'ah to make your prayer odd." **Virtue:** "Allah has given you a prayer better than red camels: Witr, between Isha and Fajr." **Number of Rak'ahs:** - Minimum: 1 rak'ah - Permissible: 3, 5, 7, 9, or 11 - With 3: either two salams, or one salam without middle tashahhud **Best Time:** End of night if able; beginning if fears sleeping through
