Ruling and method of washing the dead
**Ruling:** Wajib (obligatory) - Fard Kifayah **Who washes whom:** - Men wash men - Women wash women - Spouses may wash each other - Anyone may wash children under 7 **Method:** 1. Cover awrah, remove clothes 2. Press stomach gently 3. Clean private areas with cloth 4. Make wudu (wipe mouth/nose) 5. Wash head/beard with sidr or soap 6. Wash right side, then left 7. Minimum: 1 wash; Sunnah: 3 washes 8. Add camphor to last wash 9. Dry and trim nails/hair
